Tipu and kanban

I'm excited by the possibilities of using a kanban approach instead of structured "sprints" for the Tipu method. This would give us two alternate approaches - different strokes...

This page will be updated as ideas and - later - experiences accumulate.

Kanban, literally meaning "signboard" or "billboard", is a concept related to lean and just-in-time (JIT) production. It is a scheduling system that helps determine what to produce, when to produce it, and how much to produce. Wikipedia

Kanban is already used in IT for service delivery related areas such as IT operations

Using Kanban with Tipu would give a more ad-hoc, less structured approach to getting through the Mahi. From what i know of queuing theory this might be faster, but of course some sites will prefer the more managed approach of Sprints and the fixed timeframe of a Sprint does of course move people along :)

I'm playing with this tool LeanKit Kanban to track the Mahi. If you want it local not hosted there is this one. These are examples not recommendations. There are many other tools out there. Tools aren't the issue: will the technique work with Tipu? I think so.
